In 1995 I find myself in the Jade district of Hong Kong, standing on the corner of Battery St. and Jordan Rd. It’s early July, I’m wondering what I am doing out in this heat and humidity.

I look across the street and see a younger man and probably his wife, in a store front that is no more than three glass show cases, and stacks and stacks of boxes full of drawers, there is just enough room for them to walk behind the showcases. Surrounding the whole is a metal frame that can be closed up and locked at night.

Curiosity getting the best of me I walk across the street, before my eyes are stone carvers dreams, thousands of diamond burrs and more styles than I have ever seen in my life. Some of the burrs were marginal and poorly made but it was the different shapes that I saw that appealed so to me. To make what is becoming too long of a story short, this started our diamond burr collection.

Since this day I have found other manufactures to produce similar shapes in quality burrs. We are always expanding our horizons so we now have one of the most comprehensive diamond burr selections available.
