Hammer handpiece has a reciprocating rather than rotary action and is used at low speed (0 - 5,000 rpm) by jewelers for stone setting and decorative work. lt requires periodic lubrication.

The hammer has a 1/32" stroke and its impact force can be adjusted from light to heavy by turning the silver knurled adjusting ring.

lt comes with one Anvil Point and pin for installing and tightening points. A Pave Point for special texturing and Stylus with Carbide Tip for marking or scribing hardened steel are available separately.

SPEED INCREASING HANDPIECE


Foredom Handpiece 35


Unique handpiece with a ball bearing speed increaser that produces 2.5 times the speed of the motor. This feature makes it perfect for bright cutting with diamond flywheels and other high speed work with carbide and diamond points. No.35 handpiece comes installed with a 1/8" (3.18mm) collet unless otherwise specified. Other fractional and metric collets are available separately and in Collet Set 103000.

Note: This handpiece should not be operated at speeds faster than 35,000 rpm. When connected to your standard Foredom motor (that runs up to 18,000 rpm), motor speed must be kept at 14,000 rpm or less (75% of full no-load speed). We recommend using the No. 35 with the powerful TXM bench-style motor that has a built-in dial control, or the TX hang-up model with the EMX dial control for setting and holding speed to within the 35,000 rpm setting.

Introduced in Dec.2005, Foredom's new Chisel Handpiece, has gained quick acceptance among carvers. lt is designed to give a power assist to carving projects in all types of wood,plastic, and plaster.

The No. 50 is "hammering" and not "rotary" like Foredom's other 20+ quick disconnect handpieces. lt attaches, however in the same manner to any Foredom or other flex shaft with a standard key tip shaft. lt is shaped like the popular 44T but has its own unique and rugged textured plastic banel & tapered aluminum tip.

The No. 50 is recommended for use with the 1/3 HP Series TX or new 1/6 HP Series SR motors in forward rotation only.

QUICK CHANGE HANDPIECES

Quick Change Burr Release Handpieces are for Use Only with 3/32"(2.35mm) Burrs.

These enable you to insert and remove 3/32" (or 2.35mm) accessories (burrs, bits, cutters, drills, etc.) with only a brief interruption in work, and without the use of a chuck key, or pin & wrench. Different styles of burr release mechanisms are available. push/pull, push lever, and rotating lever. Selection is a matter of personal preference as all save time for stone setters and other users making frequent bur changes. Even when not in use, it is important to always store a burr in the collet of a Quick Change handpiece.
